United Way of Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties Responds to the Nippon Dynawave Tragedy
Our hearts are with everyone impacted by the tragic events at Nippon Dynawave on May 26. We are holding the workers, families, first responders, and the entire community in our thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
In moments like these, our community comes together — and United Way of Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties is committed to being part of that response in meaningful and coordinated ways.
Right now, we are actively connecting with local agencies, community leaders, and response partners to better understand the immediate and long-term needs that may emerge. We believe the most effective support comes from listening first and working collaboratively to ensure resources are directed where they can have the greatest impact.
As needs become clearer, United Way stands ready to help mobilize community support, coordinate fundraising efforts, and assist in connecting resources to individuals and families affected by this tragedy.
This community has always shown resilience and compassion in difficult times, and we are grateful for the many individuals and organizations already stepping forward to care for one another.
Together, we will continue supporting our neighbors in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
