Every year United Way of Cowlitz & Wahkiakum Counties celebrates the power of volunteerism with Day of Caring!
Open your heart and lend your helping hands for a day of projects that support local
non-profits, community centered organizations and those in need.
MAKING A BIG IMPACT IN ONE DAY!
Thursday, September 14, 2023
Pre-Project Rally: 8 am at Cowlitz County Fair Grandstands
Projects: 9 am - 3 pm at assigned locations.
Projects are assigned to participant teams by United Way in advance.
NOW ACCEPTING PROJECTS!
Are you a nonprofit or community organization?
We need impactful and compelling projects that pull the heart strings of a volunteer to support.
When considering project submissions, put yourself in the shoes of the volunteer. Would it move them?
Would it make them feel they have accomplished something important and needed?
Literacy efforts? STEM projects? Wheelchair ramps? Playground rejuvenation?
Interested nonprofits or community centered organizations can submit projects for consideration.
United Way will review and assign a volunteer team for the task.
Project hosts must supply assigned teams with the needed supplies to accomplish the project and provide lunch and waters.
If you need help acquiring certain supplies please let us know and we will do our best to help obtain them.
If you have more than one project, please submit it on a separate proposal form.
We Need Volunteers to make this day a huge success!
Open you hearts and lend you helping hands for a day of projects that support local non-profits, community centered organizations and those in need.
Team registration deadline is August 11, 2023. Teams that register after 8/11/23 will not be guaranteed to receive t-shirts.
Events like Day of Caring wouldn't happen without the generous support of our community.
