United Way of Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties will consider application for membership by newly applying non-profit 501c3 agencies.
The United Way Board of Directors will take into account community need, agency standards of performance, number of resources with duplicated services, and fit with current United Way goal areas. United Way recognizes that the local non-profit sector benefits from a United Way partnership on may levels such as: leveraging power to seek other arms of funding, access to volunteers, training opportunities, technical grant assistance, initiative collabaration and funding. It is not a requirement to apply for a United Way grant to be considered a United Way partner.
All program and service provided by United Way of Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties partner agencies must be human service realted and align with one or more of the united way focuses of health, education and financial stability. The board of directors reserves the right to deny partner admission to any agency.
Requirements for partner addmission consideration:
- Partner agenyc application
- Proof of 501c3 non-profit status (IRS determination letter)
- Current Board Roster
- Organization Bylaws
- Most current financial statements/990
- Applying agency must be a local non-profit operating in and serving the population of Cowlitz or Wahkiakum counties.
Agencies interested in applying for partner agency status must fill out and application and submit the above documentation to the United Way executive director by Septmeber 15 each year prior to the new grant cycle opening.
September 15th is the deadline to submit required documents.
